If you are seeing this then you are browsing on the new server. Why the server change? A few reasons
Old server
$102/month for a dedicated server and 3 IPs
20GB hd
256MB memory
AMD K6 450Mhz CPU
500GB/month bandwidth
Cobalt Linux with kernel 2.2.14 with no ability to upgrade due to cobalt bios design
New server
$57/month for dedicated server and 3 IPs
80GB hd
512MB memory
Intel Celeron 420 1.6Ghz CPU
1000GB/month bandwidth
Debian v5 Linux with 2.6.26 kernel and full ability to upgrade as seen fit
Optional ability (not currently setup) for second HD that could be used for backup purposes OR off machine FTP backup

At the rate it's going, the design is going to be outdated *cries* _________________ Odds and ends at: http://llref.emutalk.net (Low Lines Resources) |

The one reason I don't like Debian is cause by the time they release software as stable it's already outdated. Of course I use the most common distro and thus I am a fanboy, but use Ubuntu!!! Being a server though, I don't think it's going to matter too terribly much.
BTW, will there ever be a Linux port? |

Debian stable works very well for servers as it is known to be stable. However I tend to run Debian Testing which is fairly up to date. _________________ If you do not push the limits, then you do not know what limits exist. |
